Dear Parents and Guardians,

I have been thinking about all of you and your children and know that this is a stressful time.  I am sorry to say that it looks like we will be out longer than anyone had hoped.  We have decided to close until April 27th.  This is likely not a surprise to many of you, as most public schools in our region made this same decision.

Last week staff were in the building, meeting and discussing how to best support and educate your children while school is closed.  Packets of work were mailed to you last week and it was intended to keep your children in engaged in learning and getting used to a different delivery of instruction.

Amanda Fenimore, our education director, and the teachers will be working on distance learning for your children this week.  Expect to hear more from the teachers this week about their educational plans.  Social workers will be making weekly contact with you and your children as well.

Do not hesitate to reach out to me, Dr. Kilgallen, Ms. Dennen or Ms. Fenimore with questions or concerns.  I hope that you and your family will be able to settle into some sort of routine and create a “new normal” in this unfamiliar and uncharted territory.

Sincerely,

Lauri Marchewka

Executive Director
