Dr. Stewart

Dr. Stewart is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 35 years of clinical, consulting and teaching experience focused on children, adolescents, and families.  He is founder and former Clinical Director of the Maine Special Education /Mental Health Collaborative, a clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts School of Medicine and maintains a small private practice in Portland. 

 

Dr. Stewart has authored two clinical texts, Beyond Time Out  (2002) on work with behaviorally complex children within the public schools, and What’s Love Got to Do with It (2017) on the development and management of attachment informed intensive treatment programs for children and adolescents.
