The Collaborative School is a Special Purpose Private School licensed by the Maine Department of Education and Department of Health and Human Services. The Collaborative School specializes in the treatment and education of students in grades K-12 with mental health diagnoses including mood disorders, complex trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and attachment disorders. Employees at the Collaborative School receive innovative professional development opportunities in both mental health and education. All classroom employees receive weekly clinical supervision by the Collaborative's team of licensed mental health professionals.
Additionally, the staff is encouraged to advance professionally in the fields of social work, psychology, and/or education through attendance at external workshops, course reimbursement, and internship opportunities.
