The Collaborative school seeks funds to support the library as an integral part of our school. The library is used for specialized programming to create in our students an excitement about reading, provide instruction and practice in academic research, teach methods of locating materials using an electronic cataloging system, give them exposure to a greater selection of reading materials, and simply to put books in their hands that will enlarge and enrich their view of the world around them. These skills will also better prepare them for the transition back to their public schools and into the adult world.
